Acne gives the combination of symptoms like greasy skin, white heads, black heads, pimples, inflammation and wound healing. Acne mostly affects young people aged from 14 to 25, but also sometimes older persons, as women in their menopause. Most teenagers experience outbreaks of acne, some only a little, but for others acne may develop a severe skin disease with a major aesthetic impact.
Anatomy of the skin
To understand the process of acne, some knowledge of anatomy and skin physiology is crucial:
Skin layers: The outer layer called epidermis is made up of epithelial cells. In this lies the dermis consisting of connective tissue. At the bottom is a layer called the hypodermis consisting mainly of fat cells. The skin has narrow pores extending to the surface of the upper dermis, called follicles. The area of hair growth extends from the bottom of each hair follicle and out of the skin surface. Dermis around the hair is a small gland called the sebaceous glands. These glands produce the fat, tallow, which drains through the follicle opening and lubricates the hair and skin.
THE PROCESS OF ACNE
Acne starts from glands in the hair follicles increasing their sebum production. This is the beginning only cause greasy skin. Finally, oil at the entrance of the follicles mixes with dead skin cells. This mixture reacts chemically to forms hard accessories, blackheads to close the pore entrances. The color of the comedones, they are called black heads or white heads.
Then the hair follicle can be filled with sebum and swell. Swollen follicle then becomes infected with bacteria. Bacteria and accumulated sebum cause the follicle and surrounding skin to become inflamed, forming a pimple. Finally, inflamed follicle burst and empties its contents. Eventually, the affected area is improved. Sometimes the inflammation extends deep into the skin around the follicle and destroys skin tissue. Causes of Acne

- Women may get aggravated acne 2-7 days before menstruation.
What can you do to prevent or cure acne
Sometimes acne is so severe that special medical treatment is necessary, and sometimes the causes of acne requires medical treatment. But you can do a lot too. Here are listed things you can do to prevent or treat acne:
First few feeding tips that can help prevent and treat acne:
- Do not spend a lot of fat.
- Food fat that you add natural oils. Olive oil is ideal, but also the use of other oils, like walnut oil, sunflower oil and soybean oil. Do not use only soy oil as many tend to do. Using only soy oil will give you too much of some fatty acids and too less of others.
- Eat plenty of fish, seafood and meat is not so much.
- Eat foods rich in fiber to regulate the digestive system, such as vegetables, whole grains, full-grain breads and fruits.
2. Here are some things you should avoid.
- Do not use greasy or heavy cosmetics that clog the skin and are difficult to clean.
- Do not use strong irritating antiperspirants.
- Do not wash with strong soap or cleaners that dry your skin and take all the natural protection of your oily skin.
- If you are body-building, do not use anabolic steroids or other hormonal supplements.
- Wear clothing that allows air to reach the surface of your body to avoid collection of humidity and overheating of your skin.
3. Use milk or wash solutions
You can wash the skin with a delicate product especially made to dissolve the plugs in your pores, your skin and make the environment hostile to bacteria that cause infections. Some of these products are just products to wash the skin with one or more times per day, while others should be a night and rinse in the morning.
